Do you ever find yourself in the situation where you have an existing wood porch post that needs refurbishing?  Your customer decided to go with a vinyl porch rail system to increase the overall beauty, enjoyment and low maintenance of the porch. Jacking up the roof and slipping a vinyl sleeve over the post is not a real option.

Fortunately, Southern offers a new customizable post wrap system. 

Our new system is about 25% less expensive than our previous wrap product offering. It looks nearly identical when installed. And it offers far greater flexibility in dealing with many of the installation issues you might encounter.

What’s new about these post wraps?  These are eight piece systems.  We sell our in-stock products by each component piece.  Typically, you want to purchase four corner trims and four insert slats to make up the eight pieces in the system. 

Southern now stocks the 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 x 10’ corner trims (sku 79867).  We also stock the 4” x 4” x 10’ insert slats (sku 42735) and the 6” x 6” x 10’ insert slats (59239), in white only.  You can buy any quantity of these new stock insert components.  This information can be found in our online catalog. Use the quick find in the lower right hand corner of the online catalog to jump right to these products.

Southern also offers additional sizes of insert slats, sold by the box, special order, in 8”, 10” and 12” widths. 

There are 20 pieces of 8” x 8” x 10’ per box; 20 pieces of 10” x 10” x10’ per box; or 20 pieces of 12” x 12” x 10’ pieces per box. 

Almond color and other colors are available in corner trims, 20 pieces per box and any of the insert slat sizes: 4”; 6” 8”; 10” 12”, special ordered and sold by the box.

These pieces can be mixed and matched, a good solution when you are dealing with a rectangular porch post.
