1. How much is a panel of 'xyz style' fence?

Southern Vinyl's new catalogs came out June 1, 2003 and were delivered to Southern's customers during June. Detailed panel price and product information is included in this update. More than 90 new fences were added to the catalog. We feel the number of fence styles in the catalog truly follows the 80/20 rule and will help you obtain job-costing information much quicker. Ask your customer service representative for your new catalog, if you are a new customer. For custom fences, your customer service representative will prepare the quote and fax it back to you, typically in the same day.

2. When can I expect to receive my order?

Your customer service representative will be able to answer that one for a specific order. We strive to maintain a 1 to 2 week cycle time, from the time you place your order until the time the product arrives at your destination. Occasionally, we are extended to 4 weeks, but will quickly get that back into cycle by adding additional shifts. Orders for tan materials may take 6 to 8 weeks, due to the long lead times for raw material delivery of tan.

3. Can you match the fence style of another manufacturer?

Yes. 99 times out of 100, we can custom fabricate a fence using Kroy materials that matches a non-Kroy style perfectly. Ask Southern's customer service representative how we can help you get this job. Smile as together we snatch the order away from your competition with a matching style fence.

4. What is the charge for shipping?

Your order is delivered free of delivery charge by Southern Vinyl, on Southern's own trucks. The only time you will incur a delivery charge is when we need to ship via Southeastern Freight, UPS, Federal Express or similar to meet an extraordinary demand the customer has placed upon us. Shipments via these carriers that are done merely at Southern Vinyl's convenience will not be charged to the customer.

5. How quickly can I get this order?

While we strive to maintain a 1 to 2 week cycle, we realize there are times when there are 'gotta haves'. Ask your customer service representative if an expedite is possible.

6. Do you have the quote ready on that job?

Normally, customer service should have your quotes prepared and faxed back to you the same day. We strive for a 2-hour turnaround, depending on the complexity of the job. All quotes must be signed by the customer and faxed back to Southern before we can call this an accepted and acknowledged order. And then we will place your order in the queue for production and shipping. Occasionally, the volume of business causes a delay in returning a quote to you. Please ask to speak to the owners, Dean Ervin or Rod Matthews, if you are having trouble receiving a quote. They will be happy to help get this through the system for you.

7. What do I have on order with Southern Vinyl?

We realize in the heat of the battle, a customer can misplace order information. Your Southern customer service representative tracks all of your quotes and order and can answer this question quickly.

8. Will this fence rack?

Racking refers to the ability of the fence to follow the contour of the land, versus installing the panel's stair-step fashion throughout the project. Other than scalloped fences, we can expand the routing holes on the bottom rail of a fence panel, which will allow for rackability. Your customer service representative can recommend the correct size of expanded routes to meet your project's needs.

9. How do you install this fence/fix this problem I
    am having installing this fence?

Our customer service representatives can definitely help you with these questions. Before they are allowed to speak with customers on the phone, Southern Vinyl's CSR's have gone through at least a year's worth of training. The CSR is an expert in producing fence, delivering fence and installing fence. Currently, Southern has over 25 cumulative years of experience behind the phone, talking to customers about their installation needs. Call us and let us help you.

10. What colors do you offer?

Southern offers all fences in white as the standard. Tan colors are also available, but can take as long as 6-8 weeks to complete the order if the raw materials are not in stock. For all other colors, please speak with your customer service representative about timing and special order requirements.
