How does the FREEPASS program work?

1. What is FREE PASS?
a. FREE PASS is a Southern program aimed at minimizing or eliminating delivery fees. With FREE PASS, you order any quantity of materials shipped from our Kinston facility and the delivery charge can shrink. Or even go away completely.
Make delivery charges disappear, even if your order is not large enough to qualify for free freight all by itself.

However, we think it is impossible to predict business demand 100%.
Sometimes you just need a fill-in order to meet your customer’s needs. Wouldn’t it be nice if the package could arrive without any freight fee? Especially since you have been a good customer of Southern’s in the past and have ordered in larger amounts on a regular basis?

We want to recognize and reward you for some of the larger orders you have placed with Southern.
FREE PASS consists of three different discount coupons. Each coupon has different conditions for issuance. Details follow. Your Southern customer service representative can explain the program details completely
i. FREEPASS-XWAY: a 100% discount on shipping and handling charges. Issued with a $2000 order.
ii. FREEPASS-HOV: a 50% discount on shipping and handling charges. Issued with a $1000 order
iii. FREEPASS-CR: a 25% discount on shipping and handling charges. Issued with a $500 order.
2. How long does a FREE PASS COUPON last?
a. A FREE PASS COUPON can be used with any subsequent Southern ex factory fill-in order placed within the next 30 days, after the coupon is issued. After that date, the coupon will “expire” (we will apply its cash value to your account).
3. Does my account need to be current in order to use a FREE PASS COUPON?
a. Yes.
4. What happens to my FREE PASS COUPONS if I am more than 30 days past due?
a. All previously awarded coupons expire immediately and are cancelled. No new coupons can be issued until the account becomes current.
5. Can I use this coupon to pay other transactions on my account?
a. Yes. However, the FREE PASS COUPON only has a redemption value of 1 cent. It has the highest value to you as a discount off shipping and handling charges.
6. How do I determine how many FREE PASS COUPONS I have available?
- this program is meant to be very transparent and easy to participate in.
a. You will receive a copy electronically of each coupon every time they are issued. or,
b. Call Customer Service. They can answer immediately.

c. The answer can always be found in Partner View.

d. Ask for a new account statement. All active FREE PASS COUPONS will be listed on your statement with a ‘T’ number and a 1 cent value.
7. What if I have more than one ship-to location. Can I transfer this coupon from one location to another?
a. No. Due to the specific nature of how coupons are issued, these can only be redeemed by the originating ship-to location. Also, job site shipments do not qualify.
8. Do I earn more FREE PASS COUPONs if I order through PARTNER VIEW?
a. Yes. A PARTNER VIEW order earns double the coupons of the same value.
i.e. if you have a PARTNER VIEW order that earns you a 25% coupon, you will be awarded two 25% coupons.
9. Can I consolidate multiple orders into one shipment to qualify for a FREE PASS COUPON?
a. Yes.
10. How do I redeem the coupon?
a. It is always your option whether you wish to use a FREE PASS COUPON. But, in general, you need do nothing to place these into action. Your Southern Customer Service Representative will track your coupon status. We will always proactively ask your permission first to use a coupon, if a transaction might benefit from it. You may request the use of a coupon at anytime. But, Southern will be responsible for tracking, notifying and implementing, so you do not have to.
11. Can I use a coupon more than once?
a. No.
12. Can I split one coupon into two or more equal parts?
a. No.
13. Can I change my mind? If I give permission to use a coupon to Customer Service, can I reverse my decision?
a. Yes, up to the moment of invoicing. At this point, we apply your coupon to the shipping and handling charge. The charge disappears and the coupon is used up. Once the coupon is applied to an invoice, that coupon is no longer available.
14. What is the maximum number of coupons a transaction might generate?
a. 1, normally. 2, if a Partner View order.
15. Can I transfer my coupon to another customer?
a. No. Coupons are not transferable. Coupons are issued to a specific customer and a specific ship-to and may not be used otherwise.
16. Can I use my FREE PASS COUPON on an emergency expedite?
a. No.
17. Can I use a recently issued FREE PASS COUPON retroactively on a previous transaction that is still open.
a. No.
18. Can I use on a previous transaction already paid for, to get a refund?
a. No.
19. Do direct shipments earn FREE PASS COUPONS?
a. No. Only Southern ex factory shipments are eligible.
20. Can we combine two 25% discount FREEPASS-CR COUPONS and a 50% discount FREEPASS-HOV COUPON to get a 100% discount?
a. Yes. Maximum discount is 100%
21. How can I found out how a FREE PASS COUPON was used?
a. Call Customer Service and they can provide an answer.
22. How long will this program last?
a. Indefinitely. Terms and conditions will be tweaked for success, if necessary
23. Can you use a coupon to ship an order anywhere?
a No. Orders must deliver to the primary ship-to location and not a job site or an alternate ship-to location.
24. Can the elements of this program change?
a. Yes. Subject to change without notice..
