Southern Vinyl Manufacturing Announces Executive Promotion
Jeff Herrin named new Plant Manager
KINSTON, N.C., December 8, 2006 - Southern Vinyl Manufacturing, LLC announced today that the company has promoted Jeff Herrin as the new Plant Manager of the manufacturing facility located in Kinston, NC. Herrin previously served as Operations Manager for Southern Vinyl. As the new Plant Manager, Herrin will be overseeing production, trucking, and the customer service department. He will also supervise all of the day-to-day operations and report directly to co-owner, Dean Ervin.
Founded in 1997, Southern Vinyl Manufacturing is one of the largest independent fabricators of PVC fence and rail systems in the Carolinas. The company, whose manufacturing facility is based in Kinston, NC with corporate headquarters located in Raleigh, NC, serves building material distributors and fence installation companies in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Southern Vinyl Manufacturing is quickly becoming the most recognized name in PVC with building material professionals throughout the Southeast.
Jeff Herrin has been with Southern Vinyl for over three years. His previous job with Weyerhaeuser, an international forest products company, gave him 10 of his 30 years of management experience. "I have been in the business of producing quality service and people management since I was 20 years old," said Herrin. "In my 30 years, I have gained a considerable amount of knowledge of the internal and external factors involved in successful management and I will apply this knowledge to my new position at Southern Vinyl."
Clearly focused on leveraging the company's momentum within the PVC fencing and railing systems industry, Herrin will be a key leader in driving the company's sales and production efforts. In his new role, he will increase plant production and elevate the Southern Vinyl brand.
Dean Ervin, co-owner of Southern Vinyl, is pleased with the appointment of Herrin as the new Plant Manager. "Jeff has demonstrated hard work and perseverance in the three years he has been with Southern. We are pleased to announce his promotion."
